pre owned price guide
ON-LINE VINTAGE PRICE GUIDE
Title: Big Heavy Pink Croton, Swiss Made Automatic

Description: NEARMINT condition. Sweet watch which looks and wears way better than this low price might lead you to believe. The pink gold plated steel case and bracelet have few light scuffs if any and the ETA 25 jewel movement has a gorgeous decorated rotor. Also, the crown screws down and the crystals are sapphire. Croton's branding is is problem, otherwise I can see a nice watch like this retailing for about $600 and selling on the pre-owned market for about $375 or so. Grab it quick if you like the style. Very heavy. Double deployant bracelet clasp. Fits an 8 inch wrist or smaller. Measures 43 mm wide (not including the crown) x 50 mm long x 11.5 mm thick. {$189} Item #5529

Title: Affordable Stainless Steel Wittnauer Automatic

Description: VERYGOOD condition. Nice affordable one piece water and dust resistant automatic watch from the 1960's. I purchased this from my watchmaker Wayne who has gone through it. It is Swiss made and runs great and looks great with some pitting on the back and several light nicks all over. Not an issue except for aesthetics. A cool inexpensive shark type vintage strap from his old stock is attached but if you would like a nice Hadley Roma we can put one on it for you. Signed crown and truly a one piece case with no bezel or back, all one single part. Measures 30 mm wide (not including the crown) x 37 mm long x 10 mm thick. {$129} Item #5654

Title: NIB Hamilton Khaki Quartz

Description: MINT condition. Unused with the original plastic having protected it until I took these pics. The bead blasted case and bracelet are comfortable on the wrist and this watch is just the right size, not too big or too small. Cool blue dial. Highly visible luminescent hands and numeral also. Comes with the original box and papers and retails for about $350 from what I can see online. Measures 38.5 mm wide (not including the crown) x 47 mm long x 10 mm thick. {$159} Item #5639

Title: Unusual Rose Gruen Electra

Description: VERYGOOD condition. This is a really cool transitional watch made before quartz and half mechanical. The Landeron Caliber 4750 movement uses a battery to power the traditional balance wheel/assembly and so this watch/second hand ticks like a mechanical. A dark rose gold plated case with a steel back. Very nice condition but the photos show some wear through down on the edge of the bezel but I can't see this with the naked eye at all. Only with magnification or in these close up photos. This is a decent size and fairly thick and heavy. Nice original dial shows a little age and cool mildly darkened lightning bolt hands. Our watchmaker Wayne has gone through this (checked it out for problems) and put a new battery in. It runs a little fast because modern batteries are a bit different in power output. About 15-30 seconds a day. Measures 35 mm wide (not including the crown) x 43 mm long x 15 mm thick. {$190} Item #5621

Title: Unusual Euro Hialeah Brand Mil Style

Description: GOOD condition. This unusual brand is marked Hialeah on the dial and O. Maire Inc. on the case and the 7 jewel hand wound movement. Screw back is steel while the rest of it is chrome plated. There is some wear to the high points and on the bezel. Perfect dial and original numerals. Hands have been painted up by a European watchmaker. Runs fine and keeps good time. Measures 31 mm wide (not including the crown) x 39 mm long x 10 mm thick. {$109} Item #5533

Title: Hand Wound Sub Second Longines Circa 1958 AS FOUND

Description: GOOD condition. Smaller and thinner this nice Longines wrist watch has a signed three piece snap together steel case, good Longines Caliber 19.4 hand wound movement and ugly re-finished dial. It is shock protected which is a nice upgrade for a vintage time piece, most are not. Runs fine and has a new Hadley Roma thin dark brown leather strap attached. Measures 34.5 mm wide (not including the crown) x 43 mm long x 9 mm thick. {$126} Item #5477 SOLD

Title: Small Swiss Made "Florence Miller" Mechanical Alarm Serviced

Description: GOOD condition. We just serviced the Swiss made A. Schild Caliber 1475 hand wound alarm movement on this vintage time piece. It works great but has been used enough to show most of the gold plated parts well worn (on the head). Base metal middle body with a steel back. Original era gold plated and steel bracelet. Original dial say's Florence Miller at the top. She was a beloved Newfoundland author and poet in the early 20th century and I am unsure how her name got on this dial. Two explanations come to mind. This "line" from the manufacturer was a Florence Miller line or I suppose the watch could have been hers as she lived until 1979 dying at the age of 89. Could be another Florence Miller altogether. Measures 33 mm wide (not including the crown) x 40 mm long x 13 mm thick. Item #4620 {$129}

Title: European Black Dial Mimo Mil Style Wire Lug

Description: FAIR/GOOD condition. This old watch has been in Europe all its life until now. The black dial is original and in good condition with cool very dark radium Arabic numerals. Recently freshened up with white in the hands. Runs fine and has a base metal middle body which has lost all its chrome. Oversized subsidiary seconds dial. Dial looks better in person than these photos show. Unusual military style, 1940's time piece. Measures 32 mm wide (not including the crown) x 39 mm long x 9 mm thick. {$109} Item #5532

Title: Pre-Owned Hamilton Everest

Description: EXCELLENT condition. Nice watch which retails for $445 from what I can gather. This one is a few years old and the original owner paid $270 so today's price is a real bargain! Some light scuffs on the head and clasp but pretty nice overall. Quartz movement. Original box and papers including signed warranty card (March of 2001). Blue rubber strap is soft and supple. Sapphire crystal. Measures 31 mm wide at the top of the asymmetrical steel case x 41 mm long x 10 mm thick. {$109} Item #5067 SOLD

Title: Very Nice Looking Pink Benrus w/Matching Expansion Bracelet

Description: VERYGOOD condition. Great example of a well made affordable vintage pink tank style Benrus. Excellent pink gold filled case and original pink bracelet which is hard to find. Not signed but none of them ever were, expansion bracelets like this. Jewelers usually sold them or a strap along with the watch from their own inventory. A little bit of wear on it but they are rare in pink. Original dial and glass crystal. That is a black mark at around 5 and 6 and a lighter one around 12. The curved shadow on the left is from my photography dome camera hole and is seen in a lot of photos from the angle. From a local watchmakers estate here in Missouri. Runs great. Measures 21 mm wide (not including the crown) x 34 mm long x 9 mm thick. {$139} Item #5547 SOLD

Title: 14k Yellow Gold Phillips 66 Lord Elgin Auto

Description: VERYGOOD condition. Absolutely the least expensive solid yellow gold Swiss made automatic you can find on the net today. Good watches with fairly lightweight one piece cases and high grade automatic or self winding movements. Made in the early 1970's at the very end of Elgin's life. Inscription and some small dings on the back. Nearmint/mint original dial. Old style quick set date works by moving the hour hand past midnight, back to nine and repeating. Keeps decent time and a real bargain! Crown is probably a replacement and is easy to grip. Measures 33 mm wide (not including the crown) x 39 mm long x 11 mm thick. {$199} Item #5275 SOLD

Title: Large 1950's Stainless Steel Black Dial Mido

Description: GOOD condition. Mido in-house caliber 917P is shock protected with 17 jewels. Average condition with nicks and scuffs but no abuse. Perfect original dial. Signed crown. Runs fine. Tiny lum dots still present on the outside of the sunken indices. Some light corrosion on the chrome or rhodium hands. Mido is known for incorporating natural cork as a sealant in the crown. A nice new genuine lizard skin strap is attached. This is a really, really nice large time piece for the money! Measures 34 mm wide (not including the crown) x 40 mm long x 10 mm thick. {$159} Item #5103 SOLD

Title: Cool Early European Hooded Wire Lug Cyma

Description: VERYGOOD condition. Probably from the 1930's this steel watch is pretty big with the long lugs. Takes wire lug straps only and we have installed a nice new one for you. The original dial with some spots and neat original hands. Sold in Europe rather than North America. Marked Cyma/Tavannes on the dial and Cyma on the 15 jewel hand wound movement. Runs great keeping good time. Large all steel three piece snap back/bezel Swiss timepiece, very affordable! Measures 33 mm wide (not including the crown) x 40 mm long x 9 mm thick. {$185} Item #5429 SOLD

Title: Neat Batman Comic Character Watch, Swiss Made Mechanic's Special

Description: EXCELLENT condition. These cheap one jewel movements rarely run well but this one probably needs a mild cleaning as it starts and stops. Fantastic almost unworn condition. These watches are very rare and highly collectable especially the batman watch. 1977 vintage. A brand new black leather strap with a stainless steel buckle is attached. Measures 34 mm wide (not including the crown) x 41 mm long x  mm thick. {$129} Item #4787 SOLD

Title: Rare One of a Kind WWI Military Collar Disk/Shirt Button Fob

Description: NEARMINT condition. Top is a button from an enlisted mans jacket or shirt, next is a collar disk which stands for 5th infantry, company I. Last item another collar disk. All made into a watch fob and very unique and cool. Superb condition. Never seen one. Disks measure 26 mm wide and the entire fob is about 4 and 1/2 inches long, not including the chain. {$149} Item #4480
