Title: Outstanding Bulova Flip Top or Photo Watch Serviced
Description:
EXCELLENT/NEARMINT condition. This fantastic piece is one step away from
new old stock. The yellow gold filled case has not been buffed. The
original brushed finish is intact. There are some scuffs, light
scratches and small nicks. Signed crown. Original mint crystal. Found in
a drawer. One previous owner only. Nearmint dial with very faint
discoloration seen in the upper right hand corner. Only serviced once,
by our watchmaker according to service marks in the back and lack of
wear on the movement. The movement is mint as you can see in the large
photo. Click on the image to the left. Although Bulova was an American
company many of their movements were made in Switzerland. This gorgeous
high grade hand wound watch has been fully serviced, oiled and timed
and dates to 1951. The Bulova flip top or photo watch is another example
of a vintage mechanical timepiece which has had rapid price increases
and supply shortages. We used to buy at $150-$200 and sell for $250 or
so. Those days are gone. A brand new HR Crocodile strap is included. Measures 22 mm wide (not including the
crown) x 40 mm long x 10 mm thick.
