Title: Collectable 23j Bulova Automatic Calendar Serviced Description: VERYGOOD condition. Rare watch, Circa 1955 in a two piece yellow gold filled snap back case. Nice condition except for one gouge on the outer surface of the lug at 2. This large American automatic is in great shape and highly desirable. Most collectors do not even know that we didn't make automatic movements, for the most part. Just a few from two companies, Elgin and Bulova. The Bulova Caliber 10BPAD automatic calendar sub second movement is in-house, has been fully serviced, oiled and timed by Wayne and carries a one year service warranty. The dial is perfect but recently refinished by the previous owner, a collector. Signed crown. Cool presentation/inscription on the back from Company D, 31st Infantry. Push the little recessed button at 2 for quick setting of the day of the month hand. Move the hour hand past midnight to change the day of the week window. Thre is no quick set for that window, only the pointer can do it which is how it is made. Comes with a new Hadley Roma 882 Breitling style padded brown leather strap. Measures 34.5 mm wide (not including the crown) x 43.5 mm long x 13 mm thick. {$479} Item #6109 SOLD
America did not make many automatic movements. Elgin and Bulova each made a couple toward the end of the mechanical era.
