Title: Big 1960's Clebar Chronograph in Steel Description: GOOD/VERYGOOD condition. Large size with a heavy screw on back and bi-directional timing bezel. Scuffs and tool marks on the back. Some crazing on the original black and white dial seen around the edge from about 12 to 5. The Landeron Caliber 248 is signed Clebar on the balance bridge and appears to be in mint condition. It has 17 jewels and is shock protected (a special spring protects the balance staff). I see no sign of use and there are no service marks in the inside of the case. It is bright and shiny, keeping very good time. A brand new Hadley Roma black leather strap with steel buckle is attached. Waterproof (at the time) to 20 atms and according to a friends grandfather who purchased one of these for his diving job in the 1960's this watch was sent through the mail immersed in a small water filled gold fish bowl! Non screw down large waterproof crown and waterproof round pushers. Measures 39 mm wide (not including the crown) x 47 mm long x 15 mm thick. {$380} Item #5044 SOLD
