large Stainless Steel Ernest Borel "Conquistador" Alarm Serviced Description: VERYGOOD condition. Sweet time piece with a mint silver dial and extra nice polished and brushed steel case. Two new crowns and an expensive Rios thick black leather strap included. All Swiss watch with a very collectable Synchron 48 (A. Schild Caliber 1930) shock protected hand wound movement checked out and cleaned by Wayne. Comes with a one year service warranty. Case #4800156/34270 on the outside. The crown at four is used to wind the watch. In its original depressed position, turn clockwise to wind. Turning counterclockwise does nothing and is not detrimental. Pull it out to the first or only position for setting the time, turning the crown clockwise. Setting a mechanical watch counterclockwise is not recommended, especially those with dates. Wind the crown at two counterclockwise for the alarm mainspring. Turning it clockwise does nothing but is not dangerous. Pull it out to the first and only position to set the alarm hand and the alarm. You can turn it counterclockwise or clockwise, it doesn't matter. Leave that crown out and the alarm is activated. When the pretty cricket sound emits, push the crown in to stop. Measures 38 mm wide (not including the crown) x 41 mm long x 13 mm thick. {$295} Item #6226 SOLD
