Title: 1943 Cyma Bumper Wind Automatic Description: VERYGOOD condition. Unbeknownst to most this is a fairly unique and important brand and model in particular. These early waterproof automatics are also found in steel and marked "watersport" Large for the era with a style and design ahead of its time. Gold filled top 85% or better with a stainless two-part screw back. Highly water and dust resistant design from the early 1940's. Swiss made "in-house" Cyma Caliber R420 (Cyma's first automatic movement) is a pleasure to view having an early 114,214 serial number a pretty jewel setting on the central hammer wind rotor, ruby bearings with chatons, a two spoke Glucydur screw balance, self-compensating flat hairspring, patented Cymaflex shock resistance, a center second and 18, 000 bph (beats per hour). The original dial is a pleasure to look at with aged luminescent triangles at 12,3,6 and 9 and dots at the gold indices. Yellowish aged hands match perfectly and point with specific accuracy to the correct minute and even the fifth minute mark which is precisely detailed. This is a highly undervalued vintage brand. This watch is extremely interesting and attractive on the wrist and has a nice new 18mm Hadley Roma leather strap attached. Measures 34 mm wide (not including the crown) x 43 mm long x 12 mm thick. {$235} Item #4644 SOLD
