Title: Big Oversized Delbana Swiss Made Vintage Chronograph Description: EXCELLENT condition. This attractive vintage piece has a two piece middle body with a snap on bezel. It is gold plated and there is a 5 mm section of the bezel with missing or worn off gold plating. It can be seen in the close-up photo. Click on the image to the left. The original dial is outstanding and in mint condition. It is a 30 minute chrono which means the big "second" hand counts 60 seconds while the subsidiary bit at three counts up to 30 minutes. The sub dial at 9 is the normal seconds counter which runs constantly. With a good loupe one can see no flaws or sign of age. The detail of the outside edge is amazing as three different gauges are arranged out there. The tachymeter or fine numbering in black from 1000 to 60, clockwise is used to measure speed traveling one mile (try it from mile marker to marker on the highway, for instance if it takes you 55 seconds the hand will stop just left of 65 on the tachymeter which indicates that you averaged 65.5 mph in that mile). Next, in red are the numerals 1 thru 20 (km) with the 20 at the top. This is a telemeter scale which is used to time distance related to sound. For instance to time the distance of a bolt of lightning from its furthest point, push the button at 2 when you see it strike and push the button at 4 to stop when you hear the thunder. Each division, 1-20 is 1km with the miniscule marks between the numbers representing 100 meters. So, if you hear the thunder 7 seconds after the bolt the distance will read 2 (km) and 500 meters or just over a mile. Finally, a black 0-60 graduation is for simple minute timing. The Swiss made Landeron Caliber 48 movement is in perfect running condition and keeps excellent time. A brand new Hadley Roma 835 Gator Tail brown leather strap with a 20 mm lug width is included. Measures 39 mm wide (not including the crown) x 46 mm long x 13 mm thick. {$345} Item #3715 SOLD CA
