Title: Sweet Black Dial Doxa 330T Sharkhunter Sub Serviced

Description: EXCELLENT condition. For about three years now our customers have been asking for Doxa Subs but the prices have gone up so fast it has been hard to find one in good condition for under a grand (at the wholesale level). So, testing the market with this extra fine example. The Doxa sub or shark hunter dive watch was popularized by Dirk Pitt adventure writer, Clive Cussler in his novels after he (Clive) was given his first Doxa diver in 1969. He had been working in a dive shop while finishing his first book and was moving on, thus presented with a going away gift. He then honored the watch by including it in his Dirk Pitt stories. Notable for super thick and heavy steel screw back cases, screw down crowns. luminescent tritium indices and a uni-directional diving table bezel this example is in fine condition with the original finish, dial and hands. It also keeps chronometer grade time having been timed on our timing machine and wound, set and worn in various positions and serviced by Jack at IWW while in the previous owners possession. Not signed by the US distributor US Divers Co. on the dial (see this model we sold three years ago) and with the metric version of the depth table bezel tells me this could have been a military watch or sold original in Europe. The sailboat insignia on the back dates to 1968 or earlier according to Doxa representatives. The strap is a generic rubber but you may choose any strap you like with a $50 credit towards that purchase (if over that amount). Measures 43 mm wide (not including the crown) x 45 mm long x 13 mm thick. {$1275} Item #5736 SOLD
