Title: Beautiful 1940's Oversized Gold Longines Description: We seldom see
these early gold watches in such nice condition. Often worn till they
are used up, especially considering the metal content. Fancy snap back
gold case is signed AB and gold content (14k). Extra nice dial looks
like an original but does not have Swiss on the bottom, that I can see.
Extra fancy lugs and a well made Longines signed hand wound movement
runs fine and is keeping good time. The color is a light rose or copper
color, not the usual yellow gold. The overall condition is 95% or better
with some faint marks on the back where a canvas type one piece strap
was attached in the early days. It measures 35 mm wide (not including
the crown) x 44 mm long x
9 mm thick.
