Title: 18s Elgin 21j Father Time AS FOUND
Description: GOOD condition. Purchased from an estate and without cleaning or refurbishing and a bit dirty around the crystal. Much pocket smoothness, wear (not quite through to brass though), dings and age on this 14k yellow gold filled swing out 25yr Fahys case and many scratches on the original thin glass crystal. Circa 1899 to 1900 the lever set RR grade movement looks superb with gold jewel settings held in place with screws, fancy regulator, large bi-metallic split screw balance, black lettering and fancy demaskeening (pattern on the nickel plates). It keeps fantastic time according to our timing machine and has excellent motion and poise. Original double sunk dial has hairlines. Measures 35.5 mm wide (not including the crown) x 42 mm long x 12 mm thick. {$295} Item #5470
