Title: Massive WGF Elgin Tank AS FOUND

Description: GOOD condition. Only GOOD condition because is runs and keeps time but stops occasionally. If I service this we would have to ask more for it. I am using this as an example of how lower priced watches, under around $200 fall into a gray area for dealers who have watchmakers fully service their goods. I can't hardly sell a tank watch serviced for $200 or even $150. They just are no that popular and the cost knocks out any margin. This watch is the largest I've seen of the type and maybe it will bring more than the average tank style. It is early, well made with metal inside the case which adds strength and weight. The three piece case is a water vacuum so don't get it wet, but they do dry out easily too. As long as you pay attention when around moisture. Slightly aged original dial. Fancy and expensive Hadley Roma dress strap is thicker than usual and goes well as this watch is pretty thick too. 17 jewel, American made movement is adjusted. Add $69 for full service from Wayne and a one year warranty from us. PS. The inscription inside of the back is well done and says "Daddy, July 31st, 1935". Cool. Measures 29.5 mm wide (not including the crown) x 40 mm long x 12 mm thick. {$169} Item #6142 SOLD
