Nice Black Dialed YGF Elgin EXCELLENT condition. Super nice traditional watch seen on almost every wrist during the early 1950's, or many anyway. A gold filled tank, usually American made was a staple once a guy had a little money to spend as watches were more expensive back then. A watch like this was probably $75 or maybe even $100. That was a lot more than what I am asking in today's money. No wear on the case nor damage or age really seen to the naked eye or even under a loupe. The roof shaped acrylic crystal is probably new but similar to what this had. My guess is that that the profile of the crystal would match or slightly match the angle of the lugs, that is....continue that line from the lug tip to the crest of the crystal. American made Elgin Caliber 626 has 21 jewels, 4 adjustments, fancy polished individual plates holding cap jewels for the escape wheel and 2nd, 3rd wheel pinions. SOLD Measures 21 mm wide (not including the crown) x 35 mm long x 11 mm thick. {$135} Item #6167
