Title: 1970 Glycine Vacuum II in Steel and 18k White Gold Serviced Description: VERYGOOD condition. This is the second series of Vacuum watches created by Glycine in the 1960's. This #2 model is different in that in addition to having no removable back there is no removable bezel. The only parts to the case are the two solid white gold crystal clamps. These are affixed to the bezel by long screws which extend through the case into the space between the lugs. The original steel waterproof crown incorporates a triple "O-ring" waterproof system. The thick beveled crystal has some small hips on the edge, near 10. The hands are extremely unique having the appearance of a two pronged (minute hand) and three pronged (hour hand ) fork. You can see through them. The Swiss made automatic Glycine high beat movement has been fully serviced, oiled and timed. The timing machine shows very little daily error in any position (dial up, dial down, crown up, crown down etc) averaging less than 10 seconds fast (this should work itself out as most watchmakers regulate the movement a bit fast to compensate for a "break-in" period). It features a screwless Glucydur balance, Nivarox hairspring, Incabloc shock resistance, 23 jewels and a 40 hour power reserve. A new black leather strap is included. Measures 36 mm wide (not including the crown) x 36 mm long x 10 mm thick. {$365} Item #3941 SOLD DAS
