Title: 21j Railroad Grade Hamilton 992 w/Bar over Crown Case Description: VERYGOOD condition. 20th century American pocket watches are best graded in three parts. This watch is original in my opinion as the condition of each corresponds with its overall age and wear. The double sunk porcelain RR dial has one repaired chip on the inside dial at the tip of the subsidiary seconds hand. It is a very nice job and hardly noticeable. No hairlines or other age/damage. The original RR bar over crown yellow gold filled case has considerable pocket wear and faint dents in the back. It is in three parts, screw on bezel which holds the crystal and must be removed to set the watch, middle body which houses the movement, dial and provides for the stem, crown and bow and finally the screw on back. The world renown American made 21 jewel Hamilton Grade 992 movement features solid gold jewel settings, a large screw balance, double roller, adjusted to heat, isochronism and positions and a solid gold center wheel. It is in excellent condition but does have old stains from corrosion, years ago on the mainspring wheel. See close-up photo by clicking on the image to the left. A decent all original Circa 1932 watch (which is hard to find from a dealer these days) and at a good price. A new acrylic crystal has been installed. Measures 50 mm wide or 16 size American x 15mm thick. {$390} Item #4852 SOLD
