Nice 21 Jewel Hamilton 992 Rail Road Grade Pocket Watch Description: EXCELLENT condition. 16 size American. White base metal screw back, screw bezel case is good quality but does have a nick on the back. See photos. Circa 1916 or almost 100 years old. Can you think of any object 100 years old that is this beautiful and has a complicated function? Beautiful Geneva striped 3/4 plate movement features sold gold jewel settings with the center cupped and raised, a sold gold center wheel, a solid gold pallet fork bridge seen down under the balance (between it and the escape wheel actually), double roller which avoids over banking, swan's neck regulator with a touch of oxidation also seen on the second wheel. The original dial is porcelain and double sunk. It has several very faint hairline cracks on the outside section but I can't see these without magnification, or even close. It looks mint to the naked eye. No chips either. The crystal is thin, slightly domed glass and more modern but fits perfectly. Great watch for the money. Lever set as all RR grade pw's must be (for the most part). Measures 52 mm wide. {$375} Item #6154
