Title: Unusual Illinois "Gift Series" Serviced Description:
GOOD condition. This is a very cool looking piece with some
case wear to notice on the edges and the edges of the back. The dial
looks better in person (not as dark as the photo) and I think it
actually looks really nice. I like the original hands which have been
refilled with luminescent material. The crown is original and so is the
bracelet. The Illinois movement is one of their nicest with raised jewel
settings a great looking overall appearance. It has 17 jewels and is the
fourth model or 3/0 size with a serial number of 5167454. I am guessing
this is a salesman's sample and of course, fairly rare. Illinois watches
in general are scarce and very collectable. The attractive movements and
larger size (for early timepieces) are a couple of virtues enjoyed by
collectors. It is running great and has been fully serviced, oiled
and timed. The crystal is perfect. Measures 31 mm wide (not including the
crown) x 38 mm long x 10 mm thick.
