Title: Rare Vintage IWC Mark X, British Military Issue Serviced Description: EXCELLENT condition. One of the worlds most important military issue timepieces from one of the worlds most important manufacturers. Superb original condition including the dial. Click on the image to the left for close-ups. The fantastic IWC Caliber 83 hound wound movement has been fully serviced, oiled and timed and is one of the most beautiful watch movements ever made. This is a hand wound watch from WW II. It was issued to ground troops in the early part of 1945. Only six thousand examples were made starting with case number 1,131,001. This is the 1525th Mark X made according to its case number. Our research indicates all parts except the crown, crystal and gaskets are original to one another and to this watch. We have verified these details through inspection as IWC numbered each bridge part with the last three digits of the movement serial number. This is a two part steel case with a snap on back (original), satin middle body and polished bezel. There are some nicks on this portion of the watch (bezel). It has fixed (spring) bars and an open end or wire lug German made Jurgens strap with rivets is included. It cannot be understated how nice this completely original dial is. Our poor photography does not show its virtues very well. Measures 35 mm wide (not including the crown) x 42.5 mm long x 10 mm thick. {$4199} Item #4888 SOLD
