Large and having a rare double wheel big date, double mainspring Jaeger LeCoultre Caliber 875 movement on display through the sapphire crystal back where you can see contrasting blue screws, fancy Geneva stripes or plate decoration, cut-out area near the center wheel and visible balance assembly. On the other side we see a simple but beautiful engine turned dial with power wind indicator top left. Made originally for active polo players who wanted to protect the glass or crystal from damage or rough conditions and the famous flip over construction is the result. I think that this watch retailed for 11 or 12k but I can't find any for sale so I know few are available. Wayne lightly buffed some micro-fine scuffs from the case and there are one or two faint nicks if you look real close but they are small. The largest and most noticeable is that tiny mark just north of 11, near the top of the main body of the case. The used JLC strap gives an idea of how much the original owner used the watch. Year or two of use in total? The original box and papers are marked 2005. A new Hadley Roma Caiman MS 2012 strap is also included and fits the original signed JLC deployant buckle. Not any strap will fit it. The original used JLC strap also comes with this watch. Wayne said that it is keeping superb time and has a fantastic and impressive movement.
