Title: Beautiful 1940's Jaeger LeCoultre Hand Wind Description: EXCELLENT condition. Superb condition. Original unbuffed finish. Original period like new gray nylon short strap. Original dial. Steel. Fully signed. This is a beautiful watch in a Swiss made three piece, snap back, snap on bezel case with its original part polished part satin finish and fantastic original dial with a light to medium colored tan. Was most certainly white, eggshell, silvered or beige. The stylized Arabic numerals are probably made of radium infused luminescent material as are the hands (inside). Only one small part down around the 4 didn't age to the same degree of brown color. It is a bit lighter there. Then the movement is just to die for. Just look at that gorgeous golden/gilt movement (P475). JLC has in-house movements and to this day is known as one of the best makers in the world. In my opinion, they rank on a 2nd tier, behind only Patek with a handful of topnotch makers like AP, Breguet, IWC and Vacheron. Rolex and Omega fall into a third tier for me as a more mass produced makers. I think Wayne serviced this but I can't find the little note paper he makes with all of the movement info. We'll take care of you if it has a problem of any kind. This is common knowledge for our large base of clientele. Measures 34 mm wide (not including the crown) x 42 mm long x 11.5 mm thick. {$699} Item #5981 SOLD
