Title: Stainless Steel 24j Longines Conquest "Turler" Description: A high grade watch which was designed to compete with the Omega Constellation. The signed screw back case rates about 85-90% with a tool mark or two and a scratch. You can see that the green enamel on the solid gold emblem is still intact with a little wear around the edges. The original dial is about 90% with a little darkening overall. Developed in 1958, this caliber (#291) is the successor to the lower end 19AS. The 291 had an improvement using twin click wheels and springless locking anchors for the switching principle of the automatic winding mechanism. Also, of note is a two spoke Glucydur screw balance, Nivarox hairspring, 19,800 bph, Incabloc shock resistance and direct center seconds. It has 24 jewels with a 45 hour power reserve. Old style quick-set which means one can change the date easily by rotating the hour hand past midnight then backwards to nine then forward again past midnight. The crown is a modern replacement. A brand new Hadley Roma 882 oil tan in black with a stainless steel buckle is included. Measures 35.5 mm wide (not including the crown) x 44 mm long x 12 mm thick. {$419} Item #3962 SOLD CWG
