Title: Very Cool 1940's Stainless Steel Longines Description: VERYGOOD condition. I love this watch. We often find the type from this era by Longines but in a real small size, about 30 mm. This is quite a bit larger. The hand wound Longines Caliber 10L dates to 1942 and is real gorgeous to view. It is a higher grade center second which was a nice modification to have back during that time (opposed to subsidiary seconds). The screw on back is numbered and signed but does have some tool marks or scratches. The case has been buffed and a satin finish re-applied by our watchmaker who has also gone through the movement looking for problems. He regulated it/timed it and added a new acrylic crystal. The crown is large and easy to grip. It could be the original. I believe the dial has been refinished but it has been a long time since it was done as you can still see radium burns on it from the original hands. It could be original. Measures 33 mm wide (not including the crown) x 42 mm long x 13 mm thick. {$290} Item #5346 SOLD
