Title: Early 1940's SS Mido Multifort Super Automatic AS FOUND Description: VERYGOOD condition. Can't bargain price Mido watches as they are Omega's unrecognized little sister in my opinion. What I mean is that they, like Omega had many innovations and made their own automatic modules to go on their A. Schild hand wound movements, had nice early waterproof automatic watches and also many technical inventions like the water proofing crown system which uses natural cork instead of rubber. The benefit is that the cork swells if contacted with water completely sealing the stem area from the outside. All stainless steel with a screw on back and original plain silvered dial. No lum. This is an Incabloc shock protected, anti-magnetic Mido in decent condition with a dinged up crown but otherwise fully usable and keeping good time. We have installed a nice Hadley Roma dark brown strap with ss buckle. This is small enough for a lady to wear but they were considered a gents watch and sold as such 70 years ago when this was made. PS. Could also be late 1930's. Measures 29 mm wide (not including the crown) x 35 mm long x 12 mm thick. {$169} Item #5730
