Small SS Mido Multifort Powerwind (Automatic)
Description: VERYGOOD condition. Fantastic original dial with darkly aged original luminescent Arabic numerals and hands, probably radium. Many collectors and dealers alike are unaware that radium was used and defended as safe well into the 1940's and maybe later. These old automatic time pieces were innovative with natural cork in the crown to stop water from entering. The cork swells with any drop of water, tightly sealing the most common place for water to enter. The movements were in-house making this a great value. Shock protected and anti-magnetic. No vintage watch should be considered waterproof without specific modern day pressure testing. A new DeBeer Paris black leather padded sport strap is included.
