Title: Stainless Steel Omega Seamaster Chronograph, Cal 321 Serviced

Description: VERYGOOD condition. When was the last time you saw a Cal. 321 for under 2k? Our philosophy at WatchCat is to teach while we sell so that our customers will see how much effort is put into honest evaluations. We talk about condition in three parts. Dial, case and movement. Usually the condition of each part matches, but not always. Cases show age and wear from physical contact with corrosive substances like sweat and oil from the skin and from hitting or scraping door jambs, desktops and other hard objects. Dials most often reveal age from exposure to oxygen, moisture, time and sunlight. Movements show age from multiple servicing, repairs (burr marks on screw heads, scratched bridges and plates, non-original replacement parts and wash-out of the gilt or nickel finish) and extended use. The point? Sometimes a watch can have a well used or scuffed up case and even an aged dial but still have a gorgeous nearmint movement. This 1963-64 Swiss made Omega chronograph shows extensive case wear and has been buffed heavily by our watchmaker to help the overall appearance. The original dial too shows dark spots here and there but the movement, a rare Caliber 321 is just awesome and a real cherry. We have fully serviced, oiled and timed it at great expense ($250 value/cost). Probably and according to our best guess (looking at watchmakers marks on the inside of the back) this watch was serviced 5 or 6 times in its lifetime of 45 years. No wash-out, a few burr marks and few if any scratches. Wayne, our watchmaker was impressed and you will be too. All original including the crown and crystal. We can assume the Omega crystal is original since it has the symbol in the center, seen under a loupe. What probably is not original is the subsidiary seconds hand at 3. These usually match the other sub dial hands but are often changed by the owner for higher visibility. One of the genres we recommend for rapid appreciation. Comes with a new genuine croc strap and stainless steel buckle. Measures 36 mm wide (not including the crown) x 45 mm long x 13 mm thick. {$1875} Item #5083 SOLD
