Title: Coming Soon 1941 Waterproof Longines Description: EXCELLENT condition coming soon. Rare SIGNED LONGINES WATER PROOF CASE in steel with weird springs or clips one could say, holding the hole thing together. They go between the lugs, holding the back onto the top. One of them is corroded or pitted a little and Wayne says it was welded also or repaired. Rare case in America but more common in Europe, where this exact design was seen on other brands like Rotary, Doxa and Ebel from the late 1930's through the early to mid 1940's. Wayne has gone through and timed the Longines Caliber 9L hand wound movement. It is a Cal. 25.17 with a 6 mil serial number. Not marked 9L. Back is marked acier inox staybrite and reference #'s 21324-207. Comes with a one year service warranty. I'll snap a couple more pics of the watch disassembled so every one can see how this case is made. Excellent strap from the era or a bit later maybe, like new. This is another favorite of mine which I occasionally wear. You won't find another on someone's wrist, I don't think. Measures 24 mm wide (not including the crown) x 43 mm long x 9 mm thick. {$690} Item #6007 SOLD
