Title: Gorgeous 1950's Swiss Made Zenith Steel Auto Description: EXCELLENT condition. A very nice watch with little to complain about. One brown spot on the original dial at about 9 and a little flecking of paint on the very edge near 10. Two piece Swiss made slotted screw back case with signed crown. This is Zenith's first automatic movement, the Zenith Caliber 133.8. It has a Glucydur screw balance, Nivarox hairspring and is Incabloc shock protected. Hammer wind aka bumper wind with ruby bearings. Known as the lightest and flattest automatic on the market at the time (late 40's) and for original designs of direct center seconds and the minute wheel mounted out of center. The 133.8 is the latest version of the 133 and was upgraded to 21,600 BPH or beats per hour. It came out in 1952 and has 20 jewels, a 40 hour power reserve and a special leaf spring for elastic support of the movement against the screw on back. A brand new DeBeer Paris dark brown leather strap with a stainless steel buckle is attached. Measures 35 mm wide (not including the crown) x 43 mm long x 11 mm thick. {$395} Item #4742 SOLD
