Description: GOOD condition. Probably 1940's era with a fantastic, old refinished dial and original hands with light wear on the outer edges, not seen too easily with the naked eye. All steel but lots of nicks and dings on the bezel and a deep scratch near the crown which you can see in the close-up photos (click on the image to the left) but keeping good time and easy to wind with a large grip-able crown. I've installed a new old stock 1960's Gemex leather strap in short. It is unused and supple, not dried out or cracked like leather sometimes gets after decades. Perfect for a small wrist or a lady who likes to collect watches but doesn't want a huge clunker on her wrist. Description: GOOD condition. Bigger than most tanks and later in American watch history. Just before closing their doors forever Elgin made some of the finest wrist watch movements you can find. It is adjusted and has 21 jewels to reduce friction of the pivots and other parts. It has its original faceted glass crystal including several scuffs. Average condition dial. Some buffing of the case seen too. Nice fun or starter watch suitable for occasional daily office wear.
