Flash! Marchetti Arrested!
Pleads Guilty to Four Counts of Fraud...
Ebay Thief/Con Man Carl Marchetti of

While doing research for Eppraisals.com I came across an ebay sale by this seller. capecodpreciousgems The long and short of it is that Carl misreprestented a plain ol' Hamilton #940 pocketwatch as a very rare Hamilton "Pennsyvannia Special". I asked for a close-up of the movement to confirm what the watch was but never received it. I should have dropped it then. But, Carl had 140 feedbacks with only a few negatives. And, his description say's "Item Guaranteed". Fat chance. I paid around $800 after the auction was over. I received a $200 watch. I returned it to Carl and he has it now. Basically, Carl is a thief. He will not return my money and calls us repeatedly threatening lawsuits for defamation etc. We were able to place negative feedback even though the reserve for the pocketwatch sale was not met. Ebay refused to intervene since the sale took place "outside of ebay". Don't get caught by this scum bag.

We have filed civil and criminal charges against Carl and also with the postal service, FBI, state police, Mass attorney general and many other organizations. Local and in Massachusetts. Of course, this is a relatively small loss as far as scams/cons go. But, this scum bag has a sale on ebay now involving what appears to be diamonds, jewelry and a Rolex watch. He is not specific but the price is $50,000.
Here is one of Carl's explanations in an e-mail. Not exactly a genius. Probably only the most ignorant believe they can get away with this type of crime.
You are the watch pro not me. You bought the watch and you own it. It is yours.Check the emails as I have and tell me I am wrong. I am not. You asked me to provide you with everything and I did. If it is not up to your expectations then you should not have bought it.I am told you sent it to me and I will be sending it right back.That's it.You should look before you leep.You looked at that for a week. You bid and won.

I find nothing funny about this at all. I am sick of people like you. I am now going to open the box to see if it is the same watch, same works...I do have record of the serial number as you do because I sent it to you.

You have no room to TALk man. Yu bid on otems on Ebay
under other names NEVER watchcat. then you jack up the
prices and sell them on your website. I have seen a
few watches you have done this with. makeing a profit
is one thing but you are obscene.
Good for Marchetti for sticking you back . It will not
make up for the thousands of bucks YOU have made
ripping off people though. And I will spread the word
about YOU like you did to Marchetti, theif.
I see I hit the proverbial nerve..excuse my typos i
broke 2 fingers on my right hand and the thumb on my
ledt hand during an arrest. I am a us marshall. First

should mentiion it is also illegal., for a guy so
